A Claude Code SKILL for daily tech briefings — no external AI API key required.
Extracted and adapted from the [Horizon](https://github.com/Thysrael/Horizon) open-source project. Horizon is an AI-driven information aggregation system; this skill packages its data-fetching capabilities into a standalone Claude Code skill, using Claude itself for analysis.
## How It Works

1. Fetch — `fetch.py` pulls items from all configured sources into `fetched.json`
2. Score — Claude evaluates each item in-context (novelty, impact, depth, community signal, timeliness) and writes the Top-N selection to `selected.json`
3. Download media — when media is enabled, `download_images.py` downloads only images for selected articles and records results in `media-manifest.json`
4. Summarize — Claude writes a daily digest in each configured language
5. Analyze — Claude generates a deep-dive article for each top item
## Features

- **Multi-source aggregation** — Read official pages, RSS/Atom, GitHub Releases, arXiv, Hacker News, Reddit, and Telegram through one workflow.
- **AI scoring and Top-N selection** — Rank items by novelty, impact, technical depth, community signal, and timeliness.
- **Bilingual briefings and deep dives** — Generate configured Chinese and English summaries plus one analysis article per selected item.
- **Source-image archiving** — Use successfully downloaded source candidates for summary thumbnails, article Hero images, inline figures, and captions.
- **Per-article asset ownership** — Store every article image uSource structure unverified
