Forbidden Patterns

  • Never call puppeteer.launch() per request in high-traffic scenarios — pool browser instances
  • Never pass unsanitized user input directly into HTML templates — risk of injection
  • Never load external resources in Puppeteer on a server — use --disable-extensions and local assets
  • Never stream to a closed response — always handle the res.writableEnded case
