Answer: What is reported, what changed, and what is still unknown?
Resolve the script relative to this skill's installed directory. Run with Python 3.10 or later; no account, API key, or dependency installation is needed:

For structured output, omit --format markdown. The default retrieves only
fixed public funding, capital-market, and liquidity URLs through the bundled
Financial Evidence client. It never connects to a broker or paid route.
If the user already supplied a Financial Evidence packet, use it offline:

To compare with a previous brief that the user supplied or chose to save:
python3 scripts/market_brief.py --previous previous.json --format markdown
Do not silently save a baseline, enable monitoring, schedule recurring requests,
or send the brief to another person. --output previous.json explicitly saves
a compact JSON baseline when that is part of the user's request. Missing
baselines mean no comparison is available, not that markets were unchanged.
The optional Financial Evidence MCP connector exposes topics, route, and
fetch under the installed client's namespace. Those are existing retrieval
tools, not a hosted market_brief endpoint. If local Python is unavailable,
fetch only the three covered topics and use the same presentation contract;
say that deterministic comparison was not run.
Lead with 3–5 material reported observations or actual comparable changes. Use plain language, keeping the source's status and observation date beside each fact. Distinguish observed values from product-derived interpretation. For each numeric claim retain the unit, exact source URL, and original publisher URL when supplied. Keep observation, publication, product-generation, knowledge, and retrieval clocks separate.
Then explain why this kind of evidence can matter as general market context, without claiming it caused a security's price move. Include a plausible countercase and the specific missing evidence needed to test it. Close with coverage gaps and one useful research follow-up, not a trade recommendation.
