Content Dictates Form, Less Is More, God Is in the Details, all in the service of Clarity, without which nothing else matters. —— Sondheim《Finishing the Hat》p0015
Content Dictates Style, as well as Form.(内容决定风格,也决定形式。) —— Sondheim《Finishing the Hat》p0330
Poetry is an art of concision, lyrics of expansion. —— Sondheim《Finishing the Hat》p0017
—— Sondheim《Finishing the Hat》p0019
他从一扇三折的日本屏风上得到判断——左扇全白,中扇只有一小段树枝从右边探进来,右扇才是茂密的树与鸟;
Sondheim
—— Sondheim 转述 Hammerstein 的模型,《Finishing the Hat》p0105
Sondheim
A perfect rhyme can make a mediocre line bright and a good one brilliant. A near rhyme only dampens the impact. —— Sondheim《Finishing the Hat》p0026
—— Sondheim 引 Craig Carnelia,《Finishing the Hat》p0026
"I hate all true rhymes... If the craft gets in the way of the feelings, then I'll take the feelings any day."
lw-tone-checklw-rhyme。
|---|---|
| 连唱黏成别的词 | "Beauty celestial / The best you'll" 被听成 "The bestial"(p0228) |
| 辅音撞车 | 低估了速度,"For a small fee" 里的 l 和 f 挤成 "For a smafee"(p0067) |
You don't want a (pause) sentence like this to (pause) sit on the (pause) music like this. —— Sondheim《Finishing the Hat》p0038

- **时代与阶层层**:原句 "I woke too weak to walk to work" 押头韵很漂亮, 但角色是古罗马的贵族少年——**贵族不 work**。 ** > **A perfect rhyme can make a mediocre line bright and a good one brilliant. > A near rhyme only dampens the impact.** > (完美韵能让平庸的一行发亮,让好的一行发光。 If the craft gets in the way of the feelings, then I'll take the feelings any day."** > (我讨厌所有真韵…… ** **还有一条常被忽略的技术**: ★ **口语的句子会自然断成短块,唱词的断句必须跟着音乐的断句走**,否则听起来不自然—— > **You don't want a (pause) sentence like this to (pause) sit on the (pause) music like this.** > —— Sondheim《Finishing the Hat》p0038 **最高级的形态是把界线取消**:歌、音乐化的对白与动作合成一个连续体, 音乐不停,与对白严格对时,**词有时是说的、有时是唱的**(p0146)。

"value": "Turn \"lw-musical-theatre\" from https://github.com/jtydhr88/lyric-writing-skills/tree/main/plugins/lyric-writing/skills/lw-musical-theatre into a reusable Cursor project rule or agent instruction. Preserve the core workflow, adapt paths to this repo, and keep the rule scoped to tasks where it is relevant. Skill purpose: Theatre and musical-theatre lyric writing How a song becomes an action instead of a pause, how to make the words sound like the character rather than the lyricist, and what Sondheim's three principles - Content Dictates Form, Less Is More, God Is in the Details, all in the service of clarity - actually change in a draft.
