Its goal is a usable, coherent interface that survives real\ncontent, real interaction, and real viewport changes.\n\n## Runtime Contract\n\n- Work inside the user's existing repository when one is provided.\n- Follow higher-priority project instructions and established design tokens.\n- Reuse the installed framework, component library, and icon set when suitable.\n- Resolve files relative to this skill or the active project, never a private\n  path from another machine.\n- Check tool and package availability before relying on them.\n- Use the runtime's browser, screenshot, and image-generation capabilities by\n  their local names.\n\n## Required Outcome\n\nA finished interface must:\n\n- perform the requested workflow rather than merely illustrate it;\n- preserve or deliberately extend the product's visual language;\n- support keyboard, pointer, touch, zoom, and reduced-motion use;\n- remain readable from narrow mobile screens through wide desktop screens;\n- expose loading, empty, error, disabled, success, and destructive states when\n  the workflow can reach them;\n- avoid layout shifts caused by labels, icons, validation text, or late data;\n- be verified in a real browser before completion is reported.\n\n## Workflow\n\n### 1. Inspect Before Designing\n\nRead the relevant routes, components, styles, assets, package manifest, and\ntests. Identify:\n\n- the user and their main task;\n- the current navigation and information hierarchy;\n- reusable components and tokens;\n- framework and build constraints;\n- nearby screens that establish product conventions;\n- existing user changes that must remain intact.\n\nFor a reference image or existing page, separate structural facts from\ndecorative details. Record the important relationships: hierarchy, alignment,\ndensity, rhythm, image treatment, interaction priority, and responsive intent.\n\n### 2. Define the Experience\n\nWrite a short internal brief before editing:\n\n- **Primary task:** what the user must accomplish.\n- **Priority content:** what must be visible first.\n- **Interaction path:** the shortest reliable path through the task.\n- **Visual character:** a few concrete qualities tied to the domain.\n- **Constraints:** framework, data, accessibility, performance, and deadlines.\n- **Proof:** which interactions and viewports will demonstrate completion.\n\nDo not add a marketing introduction when the request is for a working tool.\nStart with the actual product surface.\n\n### 3. Plan the Screen Structure\n\nChoose the smallest structure that supports the workflow:\n\n- persistent navigation only when users need repeated movement;\n- toolbars for frequent commands;\n- tabs for peer views;\n- menus for compact option sets;\n- dialogs for focused, reversible interruption;\n- cards only for genuinely repeated, self-contained items;\n- tables or aligned lists when comparison matters.\n\nMap each important action to a visible control. Prefer familiar icons for\ncommon tool actions and provide an accessible name or tooltip when the meaning\nis not obvious.\n\n### 4. Establish the Visual System\n\nDerive a small set of reusable decisions:\n\n- typography roles for display, section, body, label, and data text;\n- spacing steps and content width;\n- surface, border, text, accent, success, warning, and danger colors;\n- corner radius and elevation rules;\n- stable sizes for controls, rows, panels, and fixed-format content;\n- focus, hover, pressed, selected, and disabled treatments.\n\nUse color to express hierarchy and state. Do not let one hue dominate every\nsurface. Choose imagery and illustration that reveal the actual product,\nsubject, or task rather than acting as unrelated atmosphere.\n\n### 5. Implement the Core Path\n\nBuild the semantic structure first, then styling, then motion. Keep state close\nto the component that owns it unless the repository has an established state\npattern. Prefer existing helpers and native platform behavior over new\nabstractions.\n\nThe primary path must be functional. Connect real data when the project\nprovides it; otherwise use explicit local fixtures that can be replaced without\nrewriting the component.\n\n### 6. Complete Interaction States\n\nFor every interactive control, verify:\n\n- pointer and keyboard activation;\n- visible focus;\n- disabled behavior;\n- progress feedback for delayed actions;\n- validation near the field or action that caused it;\n- recovery guidance for failures;\n- confirmation for destructive or irreversible actions;\n- stable geometry while labels and messages change.\n\nDo not leave controls that look clickable but perform no action.\n\n### 7. Make Responsiveness Intentional\n\nDesign responsive behavior from content pressure, not device labels.\n\n- Let grids reduce columns before content becomes cramped.\n- Allow toolbars to wrap, collapse, or move secondary actions into a menu.\n- Preserve the primary action and essential context on small screens.\n- Give tables an explicit narrow-screen strategy: horizontal scroll, selected\n  columns, stacked records, or a detail view.\n- Use `minmax()`, `clamp()` for dimensions, `aspect-ratio`, and bounded\n  containers where they prevent layout drift.\n- Wrap long labels and test unusually long values.\n\nCheck at least one narrow mobile width, one tablet-like width, and one desktop\nwidth. Add a wide-screen check for dense dashboards or full-bleed media.\n\n### 8. Apply Accessibility\n\nUse semantic HTML before ARIA. Confirm:\n\n- one clear page heading and logical heading order;\n- labels for inputs and accessible names for icon controls;\n- keyboard traversal that follows the visible reading order;\n- focus that is never hidden by overlays or sticky regions;\n- sufficient text and control contrast;\n- status messages announced when needed;\n- dialogs that manage focus and close predictably;\n- meaningful alternative text for informative images;\n- decorative images excluded from assistive output;\n- no information conveyed by color alone;\n- motion reduced when the user requests it;\n- content remains usable at browser zoom.\n\nUse automated checks as a supplement to keyboard and visual inspection.\n\n### 9. Control Performance\n\n- Avoid shipping large media when a smaller representation is enough.\n- Reserve dimensions for images and asynchronous content.\n- Lazy-load below-the-fold media when appropriate.\n- Keep animation on opacity and transforms when possible.\n- Avoid unnecessary rerenders and broad dependency additions.\n- Respect the project's established bundling and data-fetching strategy.\n\n### 10. Verify in a Browser\n\nRun the project's normal checks, start the appropriate local server, and inspect\nthe interface in a real browser.\n\nVerification should cover:\n\n1. initial render and console output;\n2. the full primary interaction path;\n3. loading, empty, error, and success states;\n4. keyboard navigation and visible focus;\n5. narrow, medium, desktop, and relevant wide viewports;\n6. long content, validation messages, and overflow;\n7. screenshots for visual comparison and overlap detection;\n8. production build or equivalent repository check.\n\nWhen a visual reference exists, compare screenshots against it and correct\nhierarchy, spacing, scale, cropping, and alignment. Do not claim fidelity from\ncode inspection alone.\n\n## Domain Modes\n\n### Operational Products\n\nFavor scanability, predictable navigation, compact controls, clear status, and\nfast repeated action. Dashboards, CRMs, editors, and admin tools should spend\nspace on useful information rather than decorative introductions.\n\n### Content and Editorial Experiences\n\nPrioritize reading rhythm, meaningful imagery, clear sequencing, and restrained\nnavigation. Preserve enough visible continuation that users understand there is\nmore content below the first viewport.\n\n### Brand and Product Pages\n\nMake the brand, product, place, or person unmistakable in the first viewport.\nUse real or generated bitmap media that shows the subject clearly. Supporting\ncopy explains value; the main heading names the offer or subject.\n\n### Games and Creative Tools\n\nAllow stronger motion and illustration, but keep controls learnable and state\nlegible.
