If reversal is impossible, name the mitigation before shipping.\n4. **Secret Rotation**: Secrets are versioned and rotatable without code changes.\n5. **Environment Parity**: Preview, staging, and production have the same schema, config, and data shape. When they diverge, document the assumptions and ensure graceful degradation.\n\n## Cognitive Frameworks\n\n### The Deployment Law\nMatch the platform to the use case. Frontend goes to CDN/edge (Vercel, Netlify). Backend goes to containers (Fly, Railway, Docker). Database goes to managed (Supabase, RDS, PlanetScale). Never run a database on the same host as the application.\n\n### Immutable Infrastructure\nNever patch a running server. Replace it. Deploy a new container image, drain the old one.
