Same conventions as\ntorch.profiler, plus:\n\n- **Kernel-name rows** — group by kernel name (right-click) for\n  total time per kernel; top 3–5 dominate.\n- **Command-list submit gaps** — wide gaps between adjacent\n  kernels (> kernel duration) suggest host is the bottleneck.\n- **CCL collective rows** — multi-GPU per-rank timing. A long\n  rank blocks others — straggler.\n- **Memory copies** — directional rows. Unexpected P2P copies\n  often mean a missing `device_map` placement.\n\n## Stall sampling for hot kernels\n\nOnce a kernel dominates, rerun with stall sampling to see *why*:\n\n```sh\nunitrace --stall-sampling -k --chrome-kernel-logging \\\n    -o /work/stall.json python3 my_workload.py\n```\n\nOutput groups stalls by category. High \"Memory\" -> bandwidth-bound;\nhigh \"Pipeline\" -> compute-bound. Read against the same roofline\nused by **model-config-recommend**.\n\n## Common errors\n\n- `unitrace: command not found` -> build dir not on PATH.\n  `export PATH=/opt/pti-gpu/tools/unitrace/build:$PATH`.\n- `unable to load metric library` -> oneAPI env not set.\n  `source /opt/intel/oneapi/setvars.sh --force`.\n- Empty trace -> workload didn't run on XPU. Verify with\n  `unitrace --device-list` and `xpu-smi dump -d 0 -m 5`.\n- Trace size in GB -> long runs accumulate.
