Designed for /loop; one pass does one unit of work.\n---\n\n# Finn-loop builder\n\nOne pass = one unit of work: fix review feedback on one existing PR, or build\none issue end to end. Under `/loop`, each iteration runs this skill once.\n\n## 0. Preflight\n\nBefore changing Linear, GitHub, branches, or files:\n\n- Confirm this is the intended GitHub repository and `origin` is reachable.\n- Detect the repository's default branch with\n  `gh repo view --json defaultBranchRef --jq .defaultBranchRef.name`; never\n  assume it is `main`.\n- Require a clean working tree (`git status --porcelain` must be empty). If it\n  is dirty, report the paths and end the pass. Never stash, reset, overwrite,\n  or commit unrelated work.\n\n## 1. Review feedback first\n\nList open PRs labeled `loop-changes-requested`, including their labels:\n\n```bash\ngh pr list --state open --label loop-changes-requested --json number,title,headRefName,headRefOid,labels,updatedAt,url\n```\n\nSkip every PR carrying `needs-human-review`; it has left the automated repair\nqueue until a human resolves the escalation.\n\nIf any PR remains, choose the least recently updated one. Read its linked\nLinear issue and latest `Finn-loop review of COMMIT_SHA` verdict. Check out its\nbranch, fix only the \"Must fix before merge\" items, run the relevant checks,\npush, remove `loop-changes-requested`, and comment with what changed. End this\npass.\n\nIf a proposed fix would cross an issue non-goal or requires a product decision,\ndo not implement it. Comment the exact conflict, add `needs-human-review`,\nremove `loop-changes-requested`, and end the pass. This prevents the next loop\niteration from retrying a decision only a human can make.\n\n## 2. Pick\n\nUsing the Linear connector, list issues on team `TEAM` that meet every\ncondition:\n\n- labeled `agent-ready`\n- unassigned\n- not labeled `blocked`\n- no unresolved blocker relation\n\nSort by priority, then oldest first. If the queue is empty, say so and end the\npass. Do not invent work and do not pick a blocked issue.\n\n## 3. Claim (the cooperative lock)\n\nAssign yourself and move the issue to the team's started workflow state\n(prefer `In Progress` when available). Claim before reading deeply or writing\ncode. Re-fetch the issue immediately after the update; if it is blocked,\nassigned to somebody else, or no longer `agent-ready`, do not work it and\nreturn to step 2.\n\nThe assignee prevents different people from taking the same issue. It is not\nan atomic lock between simultaneous sessions authenticated as the same Linear\nuser, so only one builder loop may run per team.\n\n## 4. Read\n\nFetch the full issue including comments and relations. Implement only its\nacceptance criteria. Non-goals are binding. Compare every `AC-N` against every\n`NG-N` before editing. No unrelated changes and no opportunistic refactors.\n\nIf an acceptance criterion is ambiguous, conflicts with a non-goal, or depends\non an unresolved blocker, go to step 8. Never guess.\n\n## 5. Build\n\n- Fetch the latest default branch from `origin` and create or resume a branch\n  named `TEAM-NNN-short-slug`, using the issue's real identifier.\n- Implement the acceptance criteria using the repository's existing style,\n  architecture, and naming.\n- Add or update tests when the change affects logic, data flow, permissions,\n  integrations, or user-visible behavior.\n- Preserve behavior outside the issue contract.\n\n## 6. Verify\n\nRun the project's relevant lint, typecheck, build, and narrowest useful tests.\nAll checks attributable to this change must pass before opening a PR. If a\nbroad check has a pre-existing unrelated failure, run the relevant targeted\ncheck, preserve the evidence, and disclose both results in the PR.\n\nReview `git diff` and `git status` before shipping. Stop if the diff contains\nunrelated work or generated secrets.\n\n## 7. Ship\n\nPush and open a PR with `gh pr create`. Its description must include:\n\n- What changed and why\n- `Closes TEAM-NNN`, using the real Linear issue identifier\n- A scope ledger: one evidence line per `AC-N`, one preservation line per\n  `NG-N`, and `Other behavior changes: None`\n- Numbered manual test steps matching what was actually built\n- Automated checks run and their results\n- Risk: Low / Medium / High\n\nIf `Other behavior changes: None` is not true, stop and get the Linear issue\namended before opening the PR.\n\nComment the PR URL on the Linear issue. Move it to the team's review state if\none exists; otherwise leave it in the started state for the Linear-GitHub\nintegration to manage. Never merge and never enable auto-merge. End the pass.\n\n## 8. Blocked\n\nComment one specific question a human can answer asynchronously, apply the\n`blocked` label, and unassign yourself. Leave `agent-ready` in place: the pick\nquery explicitly excludes `blocked`, so the issue safely reappears only after\na human answers and removes that label.\n\nNever use \"this is unclear\" as the question. State the exact decision, the\navailable options, and which acceptance criterion it affects.
