Use when you need to start another coding session, send it a prompt, wait for its turn to end, read its transcript, look at its diff, export its work, or close it, and when you need to check whether the Mjolnir daemon is healthy.\n---\n\n# Drive Mjolnir sessions\n\nMjolnir (`mj`) runs coding sessions on local or remote targets. This skill is\nhow you, an agent running inside one session, start and steer other sessions.\n\n## Check availability first\n\n```sh\ncommand -v mj\nmj api-info\n```\n\n`mj api-info` prints the API base URL and the file holding the bearer token.\nBoth commands must succeed. They often fail inside containers and on remote\ntargets, because the worker there cannot reach the daemon on the user's\nmachine.\n\nWhen `mj` is unusable, use the `mj-agents` MCP tools if your harness lists\nthem. When neither is available, say once that session orchestration is not\nreachable from here, and continue with the task by yourself.\n\n## The mj-agents MCP server\n\nSome sessions are given an MCP server named `mj-agents`. It delegates work to\nchild sessions in the same target and filesystem:\n\n- `list_profiles` — the profiles and models a child may use.\n- `spawn` — start a child; returns `child_session_id` at once, before the child\n  has started running.\n- `list_agents` — this parent's children and their status.\n- `send_input` — durably queue follow-up input to one child, including while it\n  starts. The queue receipt is not delivery confirmation; do not resend it.\n  `wait` and `list_agents` show pending input and delivery failures.\n- `wait` — block until the named children finish their current turn. Omit\n  `child_session_ids` to wait for every child that is still running. Status\n  `complete` means the reports are in `output`; `still_running` means the\n  timeout came first. That is not a failure: call `wait` again with the same\n  `child_session_ids`.\n- `interrupt` — stop only the child's current turn. With no active turn it\n  returns immediately; queued input remains queued.\n- `close` — stop a child and keep its conversation.\n\nPrefer these tools when they are listed; they work where the CLI cannot reach\nthe daemon.\n\n## Commands\n\nEvery command takes `--json` and then prints the API response unchanged. A\nsession is named with `--session <id>`. For the flags of any command, append\n`--help` to it rather than guessing.\n\nSessions and workspaces:\n\n- `mj workspaces list` — the workspaces a session can be created in.\n- `mj workspaces create` — create a workspace, or select the existing one with\n  that name.\n- `mj sessions` — the sessions the daemon holds; add `--session` for one.\n- `mj new` — create a session with a first prompt and print its id.\n- `mj suspend` — save a recovery copy and release the environment for Resume.\n- `mj destroy` — permanently remove a session, its environment, and recovery archive; `--delete-branch` also removes its managed branch.\n- `mj resume` — continue a session that was suspended. It keeps its id, its\n  transcript, and its work.\n\nRunning a turn:\n\n- `mj prompt` — send a prompt; `--wait` also waits for the turn to end.\n- `mj wait` — block until the turn ends and print the outcome, the turn number,\n  the elapsed time, and the agent's final message.\n- `mj interrupt-turn` — interrupt the current turn while keeping the environment.\n- `mj set-config` — apply a session configuration setting, such as the model.\n- `mj models` — the models and efforts a profile offers.\n\nReading a session:\n\n- `mj transcript` — page the transcript; `--after-seq` returns only what is new.\n- `mj events` — follow durable session events as line-delimited JSON.\n- `mj usage` — recorded token usage and coverage.\n- `mj elicitations` — structured input requests a session is waiting on.\n- `mj respond` — answer one of those requests.\n\nMoving work in and out:\n\n- `mj diff` — unified diff of the session's work.\n- `mj export` — the work as a patch, a pushed branch, a git bundle, or one file.\n- `mj put-file` — upload one file into an idle session's workspace.\n\nDiagnosis:\n\n- `mj doctor` — platform and configuration prerequisites.\n- `mj daemon status` — daemon PID, version, start time, and client count.\n\n## A delegation, end to end\n\n```sh\nmj workspaces create delegated\nid=$(mj new --workspace delegated --profile work --target local --json \"Port the parser to the new API\" | jq -r .session_id)\nmj wait --session \"$id\" --timeout 900\nmj diff --session \"$id\"\nmj suspend --session \"$id\"\n```\n\n`mj new` prints the id, `mj wait` blocks until the turn ends, and\n`mj prompt --wait` does both for every prompt after the first. A prompt comes\nfrom the positional argument, from `--prompt-file`, or from standard input when\nthe argument is `-`.\n\n## Rules\n\n- Read the session's own output before reporting on it. `mj wait` gives you the\n  agent's final message; `mj diff` gives you what actually changed.\n- One session, one job. Give a child a self-contained task and a way to report.\n- A session that has work in it is not disposable: `mj destroy` permanently removes\n  its environment and recovery archive. Prefer `mj suspend`.
